Ragged Confest Foul-Filled
Nebraska's basketball team
is still seeking their second
victory, against the Universi

76 to 60 loss to Texas Tech
Monday night.
Referees whistled 48 fouls at
the Coliseum, 30 of them on
the Huskers, while an angry
partisan crowd hurled paper
and debris in the second half, i
The fouling, pocr ball han

Nebraska outrebounded the
Red Raiders 44 to 30, but
could not make their shots
count, sinking just over thirty
per cent from the floor. For
Tech, it was victory number
one.
The Huskers toyed with the
lead early in the contest but
dropped behind 35 to 25, at
the half. Coach Joe Cipriano, i

Independent champion
Hitchcock daces five men on
this year's player-picked in
dependent intramural au-siar
football team.
Senior quarterback Jerry
Yeutter (rhymes with fight
er), the intramural director
for Hitchcock house, was a
nearly unanimous pick. No
other signal-caller received
over one vote in the polls,
in which teams rated the
teams they had faced and
picked the best man for each
position from teams they had
faced.
Yeutter, a senior physical
education major from Lexing
ton, stands 59" tall and
weights 150 pounds. He was
an honorable mention last
year on the all-dorm intra
mural baskball team.
A winner of seven letters
in football, basketball, and
track at Lexington, Yeutter
competes in almost all intra
mural sports in season. He
has no "secrets" and doesn't
know of anything he's doing
that the other quarterbacks
aren't.
Yeutter told the Daily Ne
braskan: "If any individual
on our team made the all
star team, I think everyone
should because they're all all
stars as far as I'm con
cerned." Senior end AI Olsen from
Deer Park, Long Island, New
York, has made the all-dorm
basketball team for the last
three years. A member of
Wesley" Foundation and a Sel
leck counselor, Olsen is ma
iorinc in psychology and may

Lanky Hank Krous, also a
forward on last year's all
dorm first team, holds down
the other end spot. Krous
stands 6 3M" tall and weighs
190 pounds.
A junior chemistry major
in pre-med, Krous hails from
Indianola, where he lettered
three years in football, bas
ketball, and track. His team
(basketball) went to the state
tournament his junior and
senior years.
Scrappy back Mike Cockson
of Gustavson III is 5' 8" tall
and weighs only 145 pounds.
Cockson is a sophomore in
pre-1 a w from Doniphan,
where he lettered three years
in football (halfback) and two
in basketball.
Bill Bode, the other half
back even though he played
as much at quarterback,
helped Gus I to tie Hitchcock
in League 8-A with, a 4-1
record.
Bode, of Friend, is 5 11"
tall and weighs 160 pounds.
He is a junior in economics.
Center Bob Lott of Seaton
II, League 7-A champion,
edged Bessey's Dave Tuchen
hagen bv one vote in the bal
loting. Lott is six feet tall
and weighs 165 pounds.
Electrical engineering
claims Lott, a junior from
Bellevue.
Hitchcock guard Dick Za
dina, a sophomore pre-dental
student, is 6' 5" tall and
weights 225 pounds. He was
also a defensive end.

Last but not least is Hitch
cock guard Gerald Ehlers,
a solid 5' 7" and 180 pounds.
Ehlers, a junior in Teachers
College (math major,) is from.
Pierce, where he was a three
year letterman in football,
basketball, and track.
The rating of opposing
teams by the players shows
the top three teams of League
8-A as the top three. The
fourth and fifth squads, Ben
ton (6-0) and Seaton II (5-0)
were champions of leagues
6-A and 7-A respectively.
Hitchcock, which won the
independent championship by
I downing Cather 8th floor 21 to
12, lost the All-University
championship to Beta Theta
Pi 14 to 12 after taking a 12
