The ten week course will begin today at 7 p.m. at Lin coin High School. With this command, 106 Uni versity students will begin their midnight ride to Winter Park, Colo, for this year's mid semester ski trip. Leaving Lincoln Febr. 5 at midnight, the students will have the last three passenger cars (and a- baggage car at their disptsal. The baggage car, in addition to storage use, will also be available for dancing the first two hours. The Sig Ep combo will pro vide the music. The combo will also play at Winter Park. . At 9 a.m. the morning of the 6th, the train is scheduled to arrive in Denver for a 20 minute changeover to the Win ter Park express. Thirty-two minutes later, the 106 students should be starting to move into Hochlandhof Inn, their home for the next three days. This is a change from last year's rooming setup. A year ago the skiers were not all staying in the same lodge. This resulted in activity co ordination problems. Other activities available in clude sleigh rides, swimming, sledding, skating and dancing. Noon. Febr. 9, is the begin ning of the end. The group will leave Winter Park, switch trains again in Denver, and arrive in Lincoln at midnight. Those interested may sign up in the Union Program of fice. According to Lee Mar shall, Union chairman of trips and tours, the deadline is Nov. 19. At this time a minimum preliminary payment of $35 must have been paid. The total fee is $75. The cost, said Marshall, in cludes all expenses with the exception of ski lift tickets. An orientation meeting for those going will be held Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Little Au ditorium of the Student Union. Any questions regarding the trip will be answered and films of last year's trip will be shown. For those wishing to get in shape ahead of time, a booklet of skiing exercises will be distributed. ami dm Mock Campaign Workers Meet Intimidation, Violence Jackson, Miss. (CPS) In-! timidation and violence against workers in Aaron Henry's Mock Gubernatorial Campaign intensified over the weekend, as one Yale University student and one Stanford University student were shot at by irate Missis sippi residents in separate in cidents. Bruce Payne, Yale gradu ate student, and Hugh Smith of Stanford both escaped un harmed. Another Yale stu dent, British' subject Nicholas Bosanquet, faces trial today for attempting to attend an orchestra performance with a Negro. Two of the four men who were involved in the shooting were identified as having par ticipated in the beating ad ministered to Payne Thursday night in Natchez. Meanwhile, the voting by Negroes for Aaron Henry and his running mate' Rev. Edwin King began Saturday. Police harassment in Jack son Friday almost resulted in a fatality. Four Negro cam paign workers who had ar rived from Selma, Ala. were riding frm the Jackson air port with Robert Moses, Mr. Henry's campaign manager, when the police ordered the car ta halt. Thefive got out of the car, and one of the policemen hit Ivanhoe Donaldson on the hand with the butt of a gun. The officer then reportedly pointed ihe barrel of the pistol at Donaldson's forehead, cocked the weapon, and said, "I'm going to kill you, nig ger." After a moment, the gun was withdrawn, but the five were forced to stand out in the extreme cold for an extended period of time. Thursday night in Biloxi, Miss., a mass meeting where Aaron Henry was speaking was broken up' by a large group of rock-throwing white citizens. The Biloxi police stoody by and watched the proceedings without attempt ing to intervene.
