Expressing various points of view on the subject are James A. Pike, Protestant Episcopal Bishop; Sir Julian Huxley; Arnold Toynbee; Father Edward Sheridan, a Jesuit priest; Colin Clark, a British economist. Another Perspective pro gram will deal with the his tory, philosophy, and present position of the American con servative. UNIVERSITY ARTIST SE RIES A special one-hour television concert features Dr. Larry Lusk of the University's Department of Music. The talented pianist performs "Toccata No. 2 in C Major" by Bach, "Sonata in E Mi nor" by Haydn, "L'isle joy euse" by Debussy, "Nocturne In E Major, Op. 62, No. 2" and "Ballade in G Minor, Op. 23" by Chopin. On another show, Professor Audun Ravnan plays works from Beethoven, Grieg, Carl Nielsen, and Chopin. The discussions, open to the public, will be held this Thursday and the following Thursday, June 20, at 8:30 p.m. Dr. Robert Manley, assist ant professor of history at the University of Nebraska, will speak on "The Changing Face of Individualism," at the first session. The discus sion will center on an exam ination of the federal govern ment and individual auton omy. Dr. William Aeschbacher, director of the Nebraska State Historical Society, will speak on "Old World Heritage in a Thursday evening. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Insti tute seeks to up-grade the training of the science teach ers who have had only mini mal training in the science subjects they teach. Each Institute participant receives a $600 stipend plus free tuition and an allowance of $120 for each dependent. Dr. Gauger said credit courses are offered in botany, chemistry, entomology, micro biology, physics and zoology.
