Mortar Boards Give Aids Totaling $750 The 1962-63 Mortar Boards have made financial contribu tions of $750 to the University this year, according to Mary Weatherspoon. Last fall the Mortar Board Society set up an emergency fund of $150 for the campus' foreign students. The fund is administered to graduate stu- '..A.. S-l dents with financial difficul ties by Dr. Harry Weaver, foreign student advisor. Be fore retiring their positions, the Mortar Boards added an other $100 to the fund. A fellowship for $300 has also been set up to further graduate study at the Uni versity. This year, the grad uate college committee on fel lowships has selected Mrs. Susan Stohs as recipient of the graduate fellowship. Mrs. Stohs is doing her graduate work in the field of Music. Folk Duet Offers Fun With Song Only a few more than 100 tickets are left for the Smoth ers Brothers performances to night. The duet will perform at 7 and 9 p.m. Most of the tickets still available are for the 9 p.m. performance. In addition to their musical antics the Smothers Brothers will sing seriously those songs in which they believe. They are being sponsored by the Union Special Events Committee. Tickets for the show are $1.75 for general admission. All reserve tickets were sold within three days after they went on sale. The Smothers Brothers be gan their upward climb in show business in 1961 when they first appeared on nation wide television on the Jack Paar Show. Since then they have made several TV appearances and contracted many night clubs. The Smothers Brothers have displayed their artistic ability on such television pro grams as the Danny Thomas Show, the new Jack Paar Show, the Merv Griffin Show and Bing Crosby's specials.
