Nebraska's basektball team
will attempt to break their
current seven game losing
streak against two Oklahoma
conference foes this week
end.
Saturday night, the Husk-
ers meet Hank Iba s Oklaho
ma State team who currently
hold second place in the Big
Eight over Iowa State and
Kansas State.
The Cowboys upset league-
leading Colorado last Monday
and recently dumped Iowa
State 54 to 50 to take sole
possession of second - place.
Iba's ball control strategy has
netted a 14-4 season for the
Cowboys.
Three starters show double-figure
scoring averages

State, the Huskers will travel

homa Sooners. The Sooners
have been having trouble
with keeping a regular start
ing five. They lost forwards
Farrell Johnson because of
grades and Jerry Haddock
with a broken wrist before
the Kansas game. Although
they won the contest, 81 to
75, bench strength will have
to continue aiding Coach Bob
Stevens club for the remain
der of the season.
The Sooners will offer Ed
die Evans, one of the better
guards in the Big Eight, and
improving James Gatewood
to stop the faltering Husker
on Monday.
Two sorespots to fill for
the Sooner's is the loss of
their starting forwards Far
rell Johnson (grades) and
Herry Haddock (broken
wrist). Oklahoma is currently
fifth in the conference with
a 4-5 mark and 8-12 overall.

begin at 2 p.m. with the run
ning events starting at 2:30."

the edge. He said Bob Hohn
will compete in the low hur
dles. This is the first time
the ex-Beatrice flash has com
peted this year.

Galbos who placed fourth in
the indoor meet last year.
Galbos has pushed the shot
over 54 feet.

NU Games Squad To KU Regional
The University's best in

the University of Kansas this
weekend to compete in the
regional tournament of the
Association of Collegiate Un
ions. The Huskers will face teams
from 22 schools in Kansas,
Iowa, Missouri, and Nebras
ka. The NU representatives
have been chosen by campus
competition during the past
month.
