Saturday night, the Husk- ers meet Hank Iba s Oklaho ma State team who currently hold second place in the Big Eight over Iowa State and Kansas State. The Cowboys upset league- leading Colorado last Monday and recently dumped Iowa State 54 to 50 to take sole possession of second - place. The Sooners will offer Ed die Evans, one of the better guards in the Big Eight, and improving James Gatewood to stop the faltering Husker on Monday. Two sorespots to fill for the Sooner's is the loss of their starting forwards Far rell Johnson (grades) and Herry Haddock (broken wrist). Oklahoma is currently fifth in the conference with a 4-5 mark and 8-12 overall. Field events begin at 2 p.m. with the run ning events starting at 2:30." Sevigne is expecting a good meet with Nebraska taking the edge. He said Bob Hohn will compete in the low hur dles. This is the first time the ex-Beatrice flash has com peted this year. Others reassigned in clude co-captain Mike Flem ing to the two-mile, Gil Gebo to double in the 600 and 880- vard runs and Dick Strand to the 440. Colorado invades the state with several top men. Soph omore Leander Durley has gone 6-10 in the high jump. Top men for the Huskers in this event are Harry Krebs with a 6-4 mark and sopho more Tom Cramer with a 6-2 effort. CU Hurdle Ace Jim Miller, sophomore hur dle ace for the Buffs, bring with him a :06.8 mark in the 60-lows. The Huskers will meet him with co-c a p t a i n Fred Wilke who is the de fending Big Eight champ in this event. Ray Knaub. a sprinter turned hurdler, If Coach Frank Potts ,of Col orado selects Bob Griffith for duty in the two-mile event. this could be one of the best races. Griffith is the outdoor two-mile champ and Fleming is the indoor two-mile champ. The Colorado vet is suffering from a shoulder injury, how ever. Olander Clears 14-6 Colorado will have the edge in the pole vault with Roger Olander who has cleared 14-6, and in the shot put with Tom Galbos who placed fourth in the indoor meet last year.
