Nebi-askan Staff Writer Even skeletons are included in the University inventory? Heavens, yes! The Univer sity students, helping for the second year with the Univ ersity inventory, must record ALL physical properties be longing to the University. Harold Wallin of the inven tory department, explained that the students are selected through application. The purpose of the inven tory is to verify and correct all records on the physical property of the University and bring it up to date, he con tinued. In previous years, forms were sent to department heads and they took the inven tory. Wallin explained that because of the great amount of property concerned it was difficult for the department heads to make a complete in ventory. They also did not have the time. , Jim Applegater one of the student inventory assistants said that you find places yon never knew existed or have never heard of before. Apple- gate plans to spend about eight hours a week on the job. Wallin said that the job of taking inventory is a never- ending process because as soon as one cycle is finished, it is time to "start all over again . . . It takes from Vk to 2 years to complete an inventory. All physical property has to be reported to the Legislature each year. The students apply stickers with numbers on them which aid in taking the inventory and to correct any previous errors. Expendable items such as the TV tubes of the college television station are not re corded Wallin said. r Other items on the inven tory list include: tables, chairs, table and chair carts, and scientific equipment.
