Other stories include news features, features, editorials and original writings. The en tire newspaper is written in Spanish. The monthly paper is fi nanced by the Spanish Club with the cooperation of the ro mance language department. It Is the first foreign lan guage paper to be published here. The Spanish . professors nominated their top students to be workers on the paper. Commenting on the publi cation, Mrs. Roberto Esquen- azi, associate professor of romance languages said, "This is a very commendable effort on the part of the stu dents. It helps to develop their writing ability in the language and their creative ability." Paula Warner is editor. According to Gausman, vo calist and leader of the com bo, events leading to the Christmastime cutting of "Bad Bad Way" and "La ment", began a little more than a year ago at a fra ternity house party. The easy-style singer from Neocfrsha, Kan., began im provising with the musician's guitar, and was soon joined by two Alpha Tau Omega fraternty pledge brothers, Busskohl and Venner. Jazz 'n Java "The kids really liked us," recalled Gausman, and several weeks later the group was one of the first to play at the "Jazz 'n Java" Friday afternoon session in the Stu dent Union. Followed a rash of house parties, pledge parties, and a sorority "parking lot prowl" . . . during which Bruce Hanson, a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, joined the combo with his bass guitar.
