Council Adopts Motion
Changing t Band Seating
Band Wants To Sit
Near Card Section
A motion that the 'Univer
sity band be seated in an
area adjacent to the card sec
tion during all home varsity
football games was passed
17-10 by the Student Council.
The change was suggested
to Dave Scholz by band mem
bers in an effort to improve
school spirit and make it
possible for the band to see
the game, which it had not
been able to do when seated
on the track in front of the
card section.

AMA Approves 'Training Project
The committee on Medical
Education and Hospitals of
the American Medical Associ
ation (AMA) has announced
the approval of a new two-
year training program in gen
eral practice to be offered by
the University College of Med
icine. .
The program will po into
effect July 1. 1962. and is
designed for medical gradu
ates who are interested in
general practice.
The Nebraska Academy of
General Practice worked with
the AMA to get this program
initiated.
Under tiiis program trainees
may forego the usual period
of internship and devote time
to studying with general prac
titioners and other areas in
hospital training.
