By Mel Hester This year's A11-University Intramural football team, as selected by the football man agers, represents three men from top-ranked Alpha Tau Omega, two from the second olace team, Sigma Phi Epsi lon, and members of the Phi Xappa Psi, Delta Tau Delta, and Dental College squads. Two of the All-University .quad members have re ceived this honor in past "ears. Charles Arizumi has been a member of the team or the past four while Curt .Master was selected last ear. Quarterback Elmer Walin Elmer Walin, who played the quarterback position for the All-University champs Alpha Tau Omega, is a 22 year old senior from Lincoln. Walin played basketball and baseball in high school played two years of basketball at the University. Standing six feet three inches, Elmer was a standout in the ATO's passing and running game. End Dick Becher Also a member of the Al pha Tau Omega squad is end Dick Becher. Becher was a member of the Nebraska All State football team in high school at Hastings and is a two year baseball letterman at the University. Becher, a 210 pound senior, was one of best ends in the league both on defense and offense. Blocking Back and Quarter back Joe McWilliams McWilliams is a five feet ten inch senior from Lincoln. The 183-pound Delt was an All-City and second team All State basketball player from Lincoln Pius X High School. Selected for the bjocking back and quarterback position on the intramural squad, Joe was on the second team All In tramural Basketball team last year. Halfback Jim Ernst Jim, the lightest team men' ber at 155 pounds, is a- sopho more and the one of threee ATOs to receive this honor. Ernst played halfback for the ATOs and was a big asset with his running gains. At tending Lexington, Jim was a star halfback in high school. Guard and Blocking Back Lambert Sobon Sobon, a 230-pound member of the second ranked Sigma Phi Epsilon team, is a senior. Johnson was a State Tennis Doubles Cham pion, received honorable men tion as an All-State basketball player, and has lettered in Tennis two years at Nebraska. Center Curt Plaster Making his second appear ance on the All-University squad, Curt Plaster stands Si ll and is a senior in Business Administration. Plaster was a member of the Phi Psi grid team. While in high school he played football at Scotts bluff and was recognized as the All-Big Ten center in his senior year. He was also All- State honorable mention in football. ; Charles Arizumi Charley is a senior and al though a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, played football for Dental College. A native of Hawaii, Arizumi has made the fine record of being picked for the All-Uni-versitv football squad four years in succession. All-University Champion Al pha Tau Omega is the top ranked 'A' team in the Daily Nebraskan's Intramural foot ball ratings. The ATOs crushed Sigma Phi Epsilon (ranked second with a 4-2 record), Gus I (rated third with a 5-1 mark) and Dent College (fifth with five losses and a win) in route to the championship and an undefeated season of eight wins and no losses. Rounding out the top ten were Phi Delta Theta, fourth; Theta Xi, sixth; Gus II, sev enth; Delta Tau Delta, eighth; Phi Kappa Psi, ninth; and Sigma Alpha Mu, tenth. Beta Theta Pi copped the top spot in the 'B' rankings. The Betas beat the ATOs for the All-University title- after losing to them earlier in the year.
