"This committee would be the backbone for People-to-People at the University, if it decides that there Is a need for coordination of the inter national effort here." Chancellor Clifford Hardin appointed "a five-man com mittee last week to work with the Student Council in pre paring a faculty evaluation form. "This form will be used voluntarily by faculty mem bers to direct their students in evaluating their teaching methods and effectiveness," said Don Burt, Council facul ty evaluation chairman. A faculty evaluation pro gram, used successfully on manv rannuses in imsrovias the "effectiveness of profes-1 sors, was submitted to the administration last spring by the Student Council for their action. Forms from 'other univer sities will be studied by the committee and Council in drafting a form peculiar to the University's methods, Burt said. Members of the committee are: Prof. James S. Black man, assistant dean f the axel College of Engineering and Architecture; Kobe rt fc.. Stake, associate professor of educational psychology and measurements; David P. Mc GilL associate professor of agronomy; Lloyd D. Teale, associate professor of ro mance languages; and Harry Shelley, associate professor if psychology. The Nebraska Chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity was formally organized in the spring of 1911 ... the second of the now 18 chapters to be organized, preceded only by the founding chapter, Missouri in 1905. Seventeen charter members open the doors on their first bouse at 1436 "S" ia the ran ef 1911. Several members of the Ag College faculty signed the lease as security. In 1914, the bouse was moved to 307 N. 24th street FarmHouse became a home owner ia June of 1922 with the purchase of a bouse at 26th and O street This loca tion was selected because the house was within ""walking distance" of both campuses. Being iaactive during Vrld War 1L FarmHoase was reor ganized ia a house at 1463 Holdrege ia 1946. This served as their permanent residence until 1954 when the present faoase w as constructed at 3501 Apple. NU to Use Dm r Grant AVF Shoeshine Set Wednesday The annual AUF Shoeshine sponsored by the Independent Women's Association will be held Wednesday ia the follow ing men's houses: Selleck Quadrangle, Burr, Brown Pal ace, Pioneer House, Ag Men, Delta Sigma Pi and Cornhusk er Co-op. The grant was received by the College of Pharmacy from the Smith. Kline and French Foundation and wil! help pay mileage and per diem. Dr. Fred Nicolai, deputy registrar, said the seminar would provide 'the Nebraska college advisors an opportu nity to discuss the pre-profes-sional programs required of transfer students selecting dentistry, medicine, medical technology, nursing, pharma cy or X-ray technology. The seminar, to be conduct ed by the deans of the col leges of dentistry, medicine and pharmacy and their staffs, win be of ultimate benefit to the Nebraska stu dent througha uniform, sound educational and professional planning. Dr. Nicolai said. University College of Med icine, World University Serv ice, the Nebraska Orthopedic Hospital and the Lancaster Association for Retarded Chil dren school.
