The old record was 1444. Nebraska's score of 1412 was the best of the year for the Huskers. The loss was the first in the conference for Ne braska and leaves them with a 4-2 record. The other loss came at the hands of Creighton but the Husker shooters avenged that loss in a later match. Conley Cleveland led t h e Nebraskans in the loss to Kan sas State with 288 of a pos sible 300 points. Stacey received every vote "but one for the all-university tailback spot with that vote going to Dick Hergenrader of Sigma Nu. Others named to the Daily Nebraskan team are end Bon Svoboda of 'Phi Kappa Psi, wingback Bob Eyth of Phi Kappa Psi and center Jack Muck of Phi Delta Theta. Stacy and Eyth were in strumental in the Phi Kappa Psi win over Phi Delta Phi for the all-university champ ionship as they teamed on passes to score all 13 points for the Phi Psi's. Player sketches: END DON WENZL -Wenzl is a 6-2, 175-pounder and is a senior in Business Administra tion. He competes in in tramural basketball and vol leyball as well as football. Wenzl was named to the Daily Nebraskan all-university bas ketball team the last two years and as all-university in football last year. He attended Lincoln North east high school where he earned three letters in base ball, two in basketball and one in football. He was an all-state honorable mention in football. END RON SVOBODA-Svo-boda stands 5-9 and weighs 150 pounds. He is a senior in Business Administration. He averaged two touchdowns per game this fall. He also com petes in basketball, volley ball, Softball and track on the intramural level. Svoboda was a member of last year's Phi Kappa Psi all university championship vol leyball team. He lettered three times in basketball and once in football at Beatrice high school. CENTER JACK MUCK Muck carries 185 pounds on a 5-7 frame and is a senior in Business Administration. He takes part in several other intramural sports including track, water basketball, bas ketball, handball, tennis, bad minton and volleyball. Muck was a member of the doubles tennis championship team in 1956. While attend ing Lincoln High, he lettered twice each in track and foot ball. He was all-city and all state honorable mention in football and a member of the Lincoln High .iile relay team which finished third in the state meetin in '56. BLOCKING BACK CHUCK GREENWALD Greenwald is a 6-0, 200-pound junior major ing in math. He was a mem ber of the Daily Nebraskan all-university football team 1 1, i , ! He attended Reitz Memorial high schopl in Evansville, Ind., where he lettered twice in football, twice in track and four times in baseball. Green wald was all-city in football. BLOCKING BACK CHARLES ARIZUMI Arizu mi is 5-8 and weighs 168 pounds.-He is a senior in pre dentistry. Arizumi com petes in many intramural sports including handball, wa ter basketball, volleyball, wrestling, horseshoes and pa dleball. He was a member of the Daily Nebraskan all-University intramural football team last year. Arizumi let tered in swimming and foot ball three times each at Pun ahou Academy in Honolulu, WINGBACK BOB EYTH -Eyth is 5-11 and weghs 162 pounds. He is a senior with a major in s p e e c h and mi noring in physical education. He plans to coach after grad uation. Eyth also competes in basketball, track, , handball and volleyball. He won the 60-yard, dash, one-lap race and 440-yard dash in last year's intramural track meet. Eyth lettered four years in track at Beat rice high school and was sec ond in the state meet in the 100-yard dash and 220-y a r d dash as Beatrice won the state track championship in 1956. TAILBACK CHUCK ST A- CEY Ltacey is captain of this year's all-university team and stands 6-3 and tips the scales at 190 pounds. He is a senior in pre-law. Stacey al so competes in basketball, vol leyball, ping pong and horse shoes on the intramural lev el. He received honorable men tion on the Daily Nebraskan's all-university basketball team the pa.st two years and was all-university in football last year. Chuck earned 13 letters at Weeping Water high school, lettering four times in bas ketball and football, three in track and two in baseball. He is a member of the Mutual Benefit AAU basketball team. The last time Nebraska en joyed five wins was in 1954 when they took a 5-5 record to the Orange Bowl. The Wild cats defeated Nebraska last year, 23-6. Two years ago, the Huskers only win came against' Kansas State, 14-7. Kansas State has won only one game this year while los ing eight. Their lone win came ' against South Dakota State in the second game c the season and since then, the Wildcats have lost seven in a row. Nebraska worked out in sv at clothes Monday and re mained inside. Everyone is expected to be ready to play in the season finale. Pat Clare continued to lead the Huskers in total offense with 21 yards in three car ries for a seven-yard aver age. Carroll "Pappy" Zaruba ruovea into second place, ahead of Clay White, by vir tue of his performance against Colorado.
