game last week and is still
bothered by a "charleyhorse".
Head coach Bill Jennings said
that the decision about
whether Fricke would play
would not be made until game
time.
Qare carried the ball three
times against Kansas and
picked up a total of 21 yards.
He has been hampered all sea
son by a foot injury and It
may keep him out of the
Hoosier game.

mores. The starting lineups will
have AI Buuck, center; AI
Maxey and AI Roots, for
wards with Rex Swett and
Jim Kowalke at the guards
opposing Bob Harry, center;
Jan Wall and Phil Barth,
forwards; Wayne Hester and
Bernt Elle at guards.

Alpha Phi Takes
Alpha Xi Delta
The Alpha Phis rallied with
five runs in the fourth inning
to take a 6-2 win over Alpha
Xi Delta in a soccer baseball
game, Tuesday.
Two runs scored in the big
5-run inning on a sacrifice
bunt by Carol Frey and Susie
Stump drove in two more
with a long fly to center. .
Linda Lonsbrough went the
distance for the Alpha Phis
to get credit for the win.

set a Union bowling record

freshmen take on the Iowa
State frosh gridders at 3 p.m.
today at Memorial Stadium.
In the last scrimmage,
against the Varsity reserves,
the Husker frosh scored three
touchdowns with Lenny Bevil
acqua, Richard Strutz and
Anthony Tetro toting the pig
skin into the end zone.
This is the first game of a
two-game schedule for the
frosh gridders. They will meet
the Kansas State freshmen at
Manhattan, October 30.

Nebraska's cross country
team will be going after their
second win of the season as
they entertain Iowa State's
harriers at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Fioneer Park.
The Huskers won a triangu
lar from Kansas State and
Colorado last weekend in the
opening meet of the season.
Last year's Cyclone team fin
ished fifth in the NCAA meet.

Theta Xi scored a 945-764
win over Sigma Phi Epsilon
in an intramural rifle match,
Wednesday night.
Paul Moessner led the
Theta Xi win with 270 of a
possible 300 points. Dave Kre
cek was close behind with 267.
Bill Connell led the Sig Eps
with 223.
