Five Denominations Unite
For Summer Worship

Five denominations unite
this summer in cooperative
Sunday services at Congregational-Presbyterian

gregationalists, Presbyterians
and Disciples of Christ have
entered what is called the Co
operative Summer Program.
Four ministers will alternate
in delivering the Sunday 9:30
a.m. services.
Other Sunday activities for
the summer months include:
5:30 p.m., snack supper; 6
p.m. forum; and 7 p.m. vespers.
Other denominations have
set the following summer
schedule:
Catholic, 1602 Q' St., mass
at 8 and 10 a.m. Sundays and j
at 6:30 a.m. weekdays.
Episcopal, 346 No. 13th St.,
sen ices at 9 a.m. Sunday and
10 am

Jewish, 32nd and Sheridan

day and 9 a.m. Saturday.

7 p.m.

Is Netcs Today
A special program to ac
quaint University students
with the new University Plan
etarium entitled "Wonders of
the Stars" will be held today
at 3:30 p.m. This is the first
of four News High-Lights se
ries to be held this summer.
All students wishing to par
ticipate in this program must
sign up in the Union Activities
Office. The program will start
at 3:30 p.m. and participants
should be at Morrill Hall at
3:15 p.m. Cost of the program
is 25 cents.
Driver Education Faces

Driver education rapidly
becoming a fixture in high
school curriculums soon may
have a competitor with "fly
er education."
Eight high school students
will earn four hours toward a
private fl-'v-g license besides
five hours, jf high school cred
it this summer in an experi
mental class conducted by the
Teachers College air age di
vision. Four boys and four girls
were handpicked from Lincoln
high schools for the class at
University High known as aer
onautical science.
The students study such
subjects as aerodynamics, as
tronomical navigation and
meteorology in the classroom.
They then put the theories in
to practice with flying lessons
at Union Airport.
Instructor Dick Sally, a Uni
versity High science super
visor and former Navy pilot,
says the class has been '"very
successful se far."
