this time Ne
braska will be out for blood.
Quoth Bush, "That's the only
thing I am sure of. Chamberlain
will not score 46 points against
us here."
Nebraska was unusually cold at
Lawrence scoring only 15 goals out
of 68 attempts. The Huskers fig
ure to be a lot toughter on the
borne maples.
Loss of Jim Kubacki, sparkplug
of the last two Husker victories,
will be a handicap to Nebraska
as well as absence of 'Jim Ar-
wood who was ill at last report.
Probable lineup for Nebraska
will be Reimers and Turner at
the guards, Fitzpatrick and Smidt
at forwards and Bob Harry, cen
ter. Wrestling
Coach Bill Smith's grapplers
take on South Dakota State at
Brookings, South Dakota, on Sat
urday. The Huskers will be seeking
their second victory cf the sea
son. Their last win was against
the Great Lakes Naval Station
Team two weeks ago.
Swimming
The Nebraska swimming team
will be trying for some new school
marks when they meet Colorado
State at the Coliseum Pool this
afternoon. The meet starts at 3:30
with no admission charge.
Frank Thomson, Omaha, will be
out to break the school record of
2:26.5 in the 200 yard backstroke.
Last week Frank swam this dis
tance in 2:27.9. Ron Reafer, Wy
andotte, Michigan, will also be out
to break the 50-yard freestyle
mark of :24.

defeated the Gamma Phi Betas;
the Alpha Omicron Pis downed the
Alpha Chi Omegas; and the Chi
Omegas beat the Zeta Tau Alphas.
Table tennis (affectionately
known as ping-pong in the lower
circles) is still continuing . . .
Golf Capers
Golf is also continuing, a
bit slowly I We're still putting and
driving our little balls on green
and gray rugs. Today, however,
we were faced with a challenge!
The fake greens were mutilated
with "obstacles" Not looking
closely, we only saw big humps
and bumps under the rugs, (actu
ally the obstacles were scratchy
old mats we peeked)
But, best of all, we did Exer
cises! I can't move. We were Just
getting limbered up to really hit
those balls. (I could hardly lift the
club afterwards)
Special Notice
One small note: if any organized
house has never won an intra
mural contest (or even one little
game) and then finally comes
through (with flying colors), please
let me know. It seems to me that
they deserve some kind of spec
ial recognition. And so, at this
time, I would like to "recognize"
the Pi Phis (for the first time),
because they actually won a bas
ketball game (for the first time).
This is the first time (in at least
10 years) that the non-athletic Pi
Phis have ever won any game of
any kind so congratulations!
densteiner, John Holeman, and
Ron Renter posted their best time
of the season against Kansas. Bill
North also notched his career best
with a 2:28.9 clocking in the 220
yard freestyle.
Ticket
Approximately WO stndeat
tickets and 4M general admis
sion ducats are still available
for the Kansas game Saturday
night, according to A. J. Lew.
andowskl, athletic department
business manager. The tickets
may he picked o at the Col
iseum ticket ffice.
