A new building housing the Foundation Seed Division at the University was dedicated here; Wednesday afternoon. j The building which is for px-' eessing, storing, and distributing was dedicated by Dr. R. N. Green berg, president of the University! Repents from York. j The building is located at S115 Korth 70th. j W. V. Lambert. Dean of the College of Agriculture, explained the meaning of the building to th? University. "Dedication of the building cul minates the addition of a series o! facilities for the division," said Dr. E. F. Frclk. associate direct-' cf the Agricultural Experiment Siation at the University. The building, a gift from the ! Agricultural Research Foundation was acknowledged by Chancellor Clifford Hardin. I J. teroy Welsh, Foundation president from Omaha, gave the response. The Foundation Seed Division was organized in 1949 when the Nebraska Certified Hybrid Seed Producers transferred to the Uni versity their function of produc ing corn and seed and all of their assets except real property. Warren Sahs, manager of the Division said, "The Division al lows farmers to get maximum benefits from improved varieties that are developed by the Ne braska Experiment Station and the U.S. Department of Agri culture." Nearly 1.500 certified seed grow ers depend on the division as a basis for their operations. These producers, scattered throughout the state, grow 55 to 60 thousand acres of cert if ed seed annuallv. NU Station Surveys Listeners KNITS, University radio station, is conducting a personal listener survey to determine prefered stu dent programming, according to Bonnie Tebo, publicity director. The survey began on last Mon day and will continue for one week, Miss Tebo said. j The survey of the women's or ganized houses will be conducted by Steve Greenber and Ken Soft ley. Shirley Marsh is covering the women's residence halls.
