begun assaying the possibilities.
Coach Bush said that from the
freshman squad must 'come help
for the eight returning lettennen.

Terry Howard (6-6) has been
doing construction work in Lin
coln and working out in the eve
nings by himself. His vast improve
ment may provide some of the
help needed to "keep Nebraska
afloat against such foes as UCLA,
Pacific Coast champion; Iowa,
Michigan, Wisconsin of the . Big
Ten; Texas Tech,' Border Confer
ence champion; Vanderbilt, South
ern Conference representative in
the NCAA playoffs, plus the regu
lar Big rvoa Conference Som
which this year trill include Kansas

Four Granted
Architecture
Scholarships
Four Nebraska high school grad
uates have been named as recip
ients of scholarships, totaling in
value more than $2500 for study
at the University department of
architecture, Linus Burr Smith,
chairman, announced today.
Robert Kuzelka, a graduate of
Norfolk High School, awarded the
Leo A. Daly scholarship of $500
a year for four years.
Serge Castigliano, a graduate of
Lincoln High School, awarded a
Selmer A. Solheim scholarship of
$250 for the freshman year.
James Ulrich, a graduate of
Plattsmouth High School, awarded
a Selmer A. Solheim scholarship of
$250 for the freshman year.
James Murphy, a graduate of
Lincoln Southeast High School,
awarded a Clark and Enersen
scholarship of $190 for the fresh
man year.
Smith said the scholarships
were awarded on the basis of their
mathematical aptitude, back
ground of sciences, and potential
as an architect.
. He said all the 1956-57 recipients
ranked no lower than sixth in their
respective graduating classes. -

Wins Tournament
Charlie Cooper of Clay Center
won the Summer School Golf Tour
nament last week with a 38 on the
first nine holes, par 36, of the Pio
neer Golf Course.
Runners-up were Dean Cillion
and George Reschenbach with 39's
Bob. Loh berg was fourth with 41
