Committee of the Student Council will be held Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. in Love Library Auditorium. R. M. Green. Dean of the Col lege of Engineering and Archi tecture will be speaker. His topic will be "Readiness for Mar riage." THIS SERIES was initiated by the council with a desire to pre sent something worthwhile and cultural on the campus. In the past the lectures have featured a panel, film or speaker. This year is the first time that such a series has been offered at the University. Later in the semester students will have an opportunity to de cide whether to "continue them next year. Yell Squad NU Freshmen To Register For Tryouts Prospective yell squad mem bers should register in the Un ion activities office, Gary Hild, yell squad leader, announced Tuesday. Hild said any freshman is eli gible to try out. There are posi tions open for two freshman girls as regulars, three freshman boys as regulars and two freshman boys as alternates. Practice sessions will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on March 17 and 18. A final competitive session will be held at 7 p.m. March 23, according to Hild. Approximately 25 persons at tended. The University, Doane College and high schools in the NTphraska Citv presbytery were represented. The convention program in cluded several speakers. ' THE REV. Harold Wilson, cpnpral missionary for the Ne braska synod, described the work of a general missionary, ttep. Wilson is now working in a church near Schuyler. Opportunities in church music organization and direction were outlined by Miss Josephine waa dell, minister of music at West minster Presbvtenan church in Lincoln. The Rev. Rex Knowles ex plained the work and qualifica tions of a Presbyterian univer sity pastor. He pointed out that such work requires five years work in a regular church in ad dition to the seminary education necessary for ordination. Rev.
