Scholarship Recipients Announced By Dean Colbert
Recipients of scholarships for
the 1953-54 school year have been
announced by J. P. Colbert, Dean
of Student Affairs.
Colbert said In order for a
tudent to qualify for a scholar
ship he must have completed two
semesters of University work
and maintained high scholarship.

Of Awards
Earl S. Fullbreek, Dean of
Business Administration, made
an announcement Sept. 12, of the
recipients of nine annual scholar
hips.
. Jean J. Couturier of Lincoln
and Donald L. Winkelmann of
Imperial, both seniors, will be
awarded the John E. Miller
Fellowships in Business Adminis-tration.
Winkelmann will receive a $500
fellowship and Couturier will re
ceive a $1,000 fellowship. The
awards wer made on the basis
of outstanding undergraduate re
cord and upon demonstrated
ability to benefit from graduate
study.
THE GENERAL Electric Schol
arship of $500 will be awarded
to Robert Bell Johnson of Coun
cil Bluffs, la., for being the out
standing junior in' the College.
Thomas L. Miller of Columbus
will be awarded the Peat, Mar
wick, Mitchell & Co. Scholarship
of $500. This is presented to a
senior male student best fitted for
the field of public accounting.
The $300 scholarship from the
Nebraska Association of Small
Loan Companies will be pre
sented to Vance A. Baker of Bur
ton. This is awarded to a senior
mala student who is a Nebraska
high school graduate and shows
future promise and interest in
consumer credit.
Rita M. Darn, of Lincoln will
be awarded the $250 scholarship
from W. G. Langworthy Taylor.
Keith J. Knippenberg, of Cen
tral City will be awarded the Ed
ward R. Wells Memorial Scholar
ship of $200.
' Uve Kapsi, of Germany will be
warded the $200 Edward R.
Wells Memorial Scholarship.
