The system is designed to pre vent cirls from cettinc into too many activities, to prevent the top offices in organizations from being filled by a small number of girls and to make room in activi ties for more girls. Miss Holmes emphasized the importance of checking the number of points a girl has be fore nominating her as the offi cer of an organizat on.
