This vas announced by . W. Devce, president of the Board of .Regents, end J. E. Lawrence, president of the State Histori cal society. The regents recently traded this sate for the Historical so ciety's property between H and J on J 6th. east of the capitoL Filing of the .deeds completed the exchange which had been negotiated earlier. In announcing the exchange, Xeroe said, It would be to tne obvious, lasting and permanent advantage of the University, in fulfillment of its responsibilities to the people, for the education of JTebraska students, and for the conducting of research, to have the building of the Ne braska State Historical society, the official custodian of the state's records and traditions, lo cated adjacent to the Univer sity campus."
