Sunday, December4, 1949 NU Frosh Tangle in Team Tilt Nebraska's freshman basket ball squad gave a preview of their talent at the Coliseum Saturday night. The star-studded greens de feated the somewhat lethargic reds 56-45 in a contest that, while interesting, grew somewhat dull its the frosh fumbled and scram bled across the floor. Hut the first string of both teams put up a good scrap, dem onstrating that they do have po tentialities. For the greens, the tall blonde center, Holloway, was the out handing man on the floor. Good and Bobby Reynolds at the guard positions were also looking good for the winners, particularly at ball handling. On the losing team, Stickels, at guard was particularly impres sive. He was the high scorer in the game with 16 points. Snyder and Reynolds of the greens fol lowed with 14 each.
