It was a good game; to this most of us will agree. There was only one tiling wrong the only students who seemed to have much pep were the football players. I'd like to know why (if someone has a good reason) there wasn't some sort of a rally last week before the boys left for Manhattan. Wednesday afternoon I was informed by my squad leader that the rally would be Thursday noon. Later that same day she informed me that there was no rally. Why? Couldn't a part of our enrollment sacrifice a half hour at noon when they ar usually wasting time anyway? That bridge game could have waited until later. So could that little game of touch football. If there was some reason why Thursday's rally was impossible to or ganize, why weren't the students present at the Coliseum Friday morning? It's up to you. The team will always try their best to win but with all of us behind them, they are sure to produce better results. Doris Dallam. wmi a cm? RENT A NEW CHEVROLET FROM HERTZ AS EASY AS A.B.C. It seems that the sweetheart of the hour, Adelle Coryell, is just too dated up to devote any time to Don. Nebraska boasted an unusually large number of cheerleaders at the Kansas game Saturday ac cording to K-State door officials. Too bad so many of them forgot their sweaters! When Kappa Sig pledges de cide to take a skip, they really make it good. We hear they had a gay time collecting their blankets from various places on the campus and cleaning the feathers out of the house, too. At least Denver is a good pLace to skip to; the Sig Eps just gal- lavanted, so they say. If you saw Bruce Kennedy walking around all smiles this weekond it was herMiisp Emma Rae of the home state was in town. Eight hundred miles is a long trip. Jim Van Burgh is sold on our dances, just plain sold on them. The Gamma Phis thought it was hilarious when Jim left the hour dance last Friday with one hand slightly mutilated. Nothing seri ous; he just pushed it through a window Special: Editor Cub Clem is not in a state of quote pindom un quote, engagedom, steadydom or any other dom thing. Perhaps even more special are some pinnings: Anne liargcr and Bill Hein. It is alleged that things Time lo Shine Monday night the rally committee decided not to have a rally Wednesday evening for various reasons. Tuesday afternoon the decision was changed, at great trouble to spirit leaders on the campus. The rally will be held at 7:30 Thursday morning in front of the Union. The football team will eat breakfast at the Union at 7:15 a. m and will leave for the airport just be fore 8. Wes Kohtz, of the rally committee, Rod Lindwall, president of Corn Cobs, and Katy Rapp, president of Tassels, decided that a rally was feasable after all. The only doubt in their minds was whether or not enough students would get out to make the rally a success. The Daily Nebraskan assured them that the students would be there. So this is a call to arms. We would like to see at least a thousand students at the rally. Organized house presidents are being asked to get as many actives and pledges to the rally as possible. Tassels, Cobs, and members of the Pep Group will be there to lead the cheering. Things are all set up. And so the burden of proof lies with the student body. The spirit groups have gone out of their way to plan this rally. The football team needs and deserves this rally. The students, and only the students, will make it a success. Cub Clem. aren't going too smoothly for Joan Zierott and football hero Dick Regier; just alleged, that is. Le none Hcrshohn and Jo Pollach, Louise Saferstein and Sid Winn of Pittsburgh; Jo Norris and Pete Durland. Jan Lindquist has been walk ing on air the last few days. Ron Clark's buddies are wondering whether it's the date she had with him Sunday night or that marvel ous run he made Saturday. Lost: One fraternity pin be longing to Marv Franklin.
