The first Thursday in October,

with hot articles. The works of
all the great names in radio and
literature are being adapted for

isn't public yet but the names of
Norman Corwin and Sir Arthur

This year something new and

According to Jerry Morris, who
will be in charge of the card
section, all pictures will be co
ordinated with the formations of
the band on the field. At the
game Saturday an "adverture
series" will be featured. Starting
with the Minnesota game, the
card section will have "moving

will be made by the students in
the card section passing the cards
to each other.
Students sitting in sections five,
six and seven, rows 1 to 21, will
be in the card section. Morris
gave the following pointers to
these students in order to have
the best possible card section!
Cards and an instruction sheets
will be found at the seats at the
beginning of the game. Cards
should be raised on the count of
three, held with the long edge
horizontal. They should be held
still. After the half, cards will be
picked up at the aisle at the
right of the card section.

Late Parking Termits
For those students who are not
able to apply for their parking
permits Friday or Saturday, the
Student Council will maintain re

traffic department will also have
restricted hours to issue the
stickers. The time will be an

Tickets will be given by Campus
police next week to student cars
which do not have the authorized

Space Limited
Though permits are issued to
all eligible applicants, the number
of parking places is limited to
1547. This does not include park

ber of students who have applied
for permits who commute from
small towns around Lincoln has
been surprisingly large.
Eight Block Radius
In order to insure a fair chance
to all students who live far from
the campus, an arbitrary limit has
been set up for determining elig
ibility for parking permits. Stu
dents living within an eight block
radius of the University have
necessarily been refused permits.
However, if students feel they
have a justified request for park
ing even though they live in the

restricted area, they may appeal to
the traffic committee for a spe

composed of several faculty mem

ard. Parking: Maintenance
The 25c which has been charged
for each permit is being put in a
fund which will be administered
by the Comptrollers office. To be
administered at the recommenda
tion of the Traffic Committee, the
fund will go for maintenance of
the parking lots. This includes
cindering the lots, painting the log
limits, and marking street and
curb parking limits.
The issuing of permits has been
handled by the four members of
the Council, Roz Howard, Louise
McDill, Phyd Cadwallader, and
Fred Chael. In addition, they have
been aided by Nebraska Builders,
Tassels and Corncobs in keeping
the Council office open.
