Union Committee Opens
Student Position Filings

The booths will be open from
9 to 5 each day.
A new program has been setup
this year. All new workers will be
assigned to a pool, from which
they are to be drawn to work on
any or all of the committees.
Former workers will re-file, and
have a chance to become mem
bers ol the various committees.

sors are: General Entertainment,
Bob Mosher; Special Activities,
Herb Reese; Convocations, By
Weltchek.
The former workers will per
haps eventually be selected for
a position on the Student Union
Board of Managers, on which are
represented six faculty members
three alumni, and twelve stu
dents. Four will be from Ag
campus.
Freshmen girls are urged to
sign for future reference. They
will be called upon as soon as the
first six weeks of school are over
The Student Union Activity of
fice is run entirely by students,
and prepared to meet the needs of
Hooper; Dance, Olive Gettman; i every student in the University.

Bulletin Board
ISA council meeting Monday in
room 309, Student Union.. All rep
resentatives must be present.
All active members of Pershing
Rifles Co. A-2 are requested to be
present Monday at 5 p. m. in
Lounge of Armory.
Freshmen who have not ac
quired their frosh beanies may
pick up tickets in the activities
office. Administration building.
Anyone interested in working
on the business staff of Corn
Shucks humor magazine will meet
Tuesday in the Union Corn
Shucks office at 4:30 p. m.
University Flying Club meets
Tuesday at 7 p. m. in 916 Student
Union. There are four openings
for anyone interested in learning
to fly. Those interested should
attend the Tuesday meeting.
"Centennial Summer" starring
Jeanne Crain, Cornel Wilde and
Linda Darnell will be the free
movie at the Union Ballroom Sun
day, 7:30 p. m.
University tennis courts will be
open for all students 7-10 p. m.
each evening, Monday through
Friday. A "first come first
serve" policy will be used until
the courts become overcrowded.
Then reservations can be made at
the P.E. building. The courts will
be used for classes during other
hours of the day.
ROTC students may volunteer
for ushering at Cornhusker foot
ball games at Lu.coln. Ushers re
ceive free admission. Those in
terested see Capt. R. L. Huffaker,
207 Military Science building as
soon as possible.
YWCA membership solicitors
meet at 4 p. m. Monday in Ellen
Smith Hall.
Those who have not yet picked
up their 1949 Cornhuskers may do
so Mon.-Fri. between 2 and 4:30
p. m. in the Cornhusker office.
Tassles meet Mon. at 5 p. m. in
Tassel room. Bring $7.20 and I.D.;
cards.
Freshman football equipment
will be checked out Tues. at T
p. m. instead of Mon. Those In
terested should report to the Field
House at 7 p. m.
AH students interested in taking
pictures for the 1950 Cornhusker
report to the Cornhusker office in
the Student Union between 3 arH
5 p. m. on Monday or 2 and 5
p. m. Tuesday.
