The members of the women's fraternities on the University of Nebraska campus, in conjunction with the policies of the National Panhellenic Congress and College Tanhellenic of which we are members, wish to carify our position to all con cerned that we will not tolerate any type of political faction or block voting. National Panhellenic approves of the merit system of elec tion and appointment and disapproves unethical college political practice such as block voting. We believe that each individual in our chapters should vote for the person she considers worthy of the office. The Greek letter sororities were not granted their charters by the University of Nebraska as political organizations. We are anxious to emphasize the ideals for which sororities were founded and stand for. We believe that the relationships on this campus between the affiliated and the unaffiliated should be one of under standing and a spirit of responsible cooperation, and that any effort on the part of Greek letter members to dominate in any way whatsoever does not stand for good citizenship. As fraternity women we have pledged ourselves to clean college politics. We refuse to participate in any manner what soever in any type of so-called block voting.
