Following a cabinet meeting

conference at Hastings last week

Experimental Play, 'No Exit.
Tops One Act Productions

Portraying the philosophy of
existentialism, "No Exit," a drama j
written by Jean Paul Sartre, was
performed with superb acting
Thursday evening on the Expcri- 1
mental Theatre stage.

show, adeptly portraying the

Miss r.otty S.-l.ultz showed
flashes ol brilliant acting as she
caught the power of her role. The
most consistently wcll-scted part
in a polished production was Es
telle. played by D. Ann FJichard
M.n. Miss Hichiiioson displayed ,
great talent in her part of pene
trating character analysis. Her;

MacDonald Performs. j
Jack MacDonald. as the. devil's i
underling, the valet, played his
restricted role with finesse, his !
facial expression alone carrying j
the part.
Abe Katz, director of the play,
showed intelligent understanding j
of the author, Sartre, combined ;
witn a high sense of theatre. The j
background music was predomi- j
nantly Shosf okovitch, and height- '
ened the mood of the play -with- ;
out overshadowing the acting. ;
"If Men Played Cards. As Worn- '
en Do," the first of the three ex
perinental nlays. was a comedy.
The four actors. Sanfoid Levey,
Al Borschtman, Michael Shana
han, and Dun Yeta. are to be com
mended for displaying the neces
sai v verve, not as essential in a
drama. Miss Margaret Dutton di
rected the play.
Dutton Directs.
Miss Dutton also did an excel
lent -job o1 direction with The
Twelve Tuund Look." The per
formance was well timed and
showed good characterization,
particularly on the part of Dean
Wells, as Sir Harry, and Sharon
Fritzler as Lady Sims.

Bluffs shops during the morning.
The engineers will have lunch at
the University of Omaha and will
tour the Eaton Metal plant. Amer

against social injustice."
Williams stated that there are
parts for 14 men and two women.

male actors. The men's roles pro
vide a wonderful opportunity for
many types of character parts,"
added Mr. Williams.
