That is probably the question going through the minds of many of you athletes who are going to turn your talents over to the University of Nebraska. As freshmen you won't be able to compete with the varsity squads but in all sports you will be well grounded in all the do ings. Numeral sweaters are awarded to frosh who show the improvements, ability and co-operation necessary in the opinion of their coaches. Scarlet sweaters with the white 1952 will be the awards, equivalent to the num ber of men carried on the varsity squads in each sport. When you become sophomores you will be working for your first N' which will be a scarlet pull over sweater, or to be earned the first time you letter in any sport. Football sweaters have an eight inch 'N while other sports receive five-inch monograms. The second award in any sport receives a reversible 'N' jacket and for third year men a scarlet blanket with the white 'N' is given. Earning three letters in any sport will entitle an 'N' man to a lifetime pass to any University of Nebraska home athletic event. Something worth shooting for! Charley Toogood has been lay ing cable with a crew for the Union Pacific at North Platte. Warren Pizinger has been work ing at an Omaha feed mill and more recently at a drug store.
