tional typewriters are being used
as early as the third grade in
an attempt to teach the blind to
concentrate.
The rehabilitated blind of the
past have proved the program of
education to be worthwhile, and
those people have been the In
spiration for new and better
methods.
McMillen became superinten
dent of the school just one year
ago. He fs enthusiastic about his
work, providing special education
for the blind. The new philosophy
of education is to fit the course
of study and the methods of teach
ing to the individual that he may
develop the best of his ability.
