Lujack to Play
With All-Stars
Johnny Lujack and thirteen of
his 1947 Notre' Dame teammates
were added en masse to the col
legiate roster for the annual All
Star football game in Soldier
Field Aug. 20.
,A week ago a mass invitation
was given to ten Michigan play
ers. Thus, practically the entire
lineups of the Michigan and Notre
Dame teams, which were unbeaten
and untied last season, will be
ready to face the Chicago Car
dinals, National Football League
champions.
Never before in the fourteen
year history. of the All-Star series
have two colleges been so heavily
represented.
The Notre Dame squad, in ad
dition to All-American Lujack, in
cludes Russ Ashbaugh, quarter
back; Bob Livingstone and Wil

Expressing the hope that many
