A toast to the ZBT's for plenty of the same at their recent Casino Party complete with po tent night club effects. Highlight of the evening came when, on his way from the bar to the gambling table, Norton Garon lost his pin and is now hunting for Estelle. Hell's A Poppin was the theme ' of the Sigma Chi party. It was a jolly affair. As eager party goers entered they were shot in the face with water guns and led to comfortably wired chairs. Jo Lis cher was bartender and a high time was inevitable. People are Funny. Beware of the practical joker which is rapidly invading the campus. First prize goes to the Sig Eps who dumped dummy Folda er Folda's dummy in the middle of the street and then screamed, "Don't hit my broth er" at endangered motorists. The picnic crowd had a field day Saturday complete with cas ualties. Curley Elward entertained picnickers with parlor games. His specialty "I See a Bair" proved to much for pin-mate Jo Feese, who contracted a broken shoulder from the deal. Moral Don't play so rough. The University of Nebraska in firmary is the latest institution for the furtherance of budding romances. Latest victims are Anne Marshall and Merrill "Fever" Fier who went steady during their stay and kept the nurses busy de livering notes. Recovery doesn't seem to have cooled the affair. Parties Coming: Up. Gay parties appear in the off ing. Soon to transpire is the Kap pa Sig Prohibition party which will see the old KS house convert ed into a bat. Randy Ewing and Jackie Wightman, eager to enter into the spirit of the affair, are trying to decide whether to go as bar flies or WCTUers. If, on walking across the cam pus,' you encounter individuals re sembling Neanderthal men, don't be frightened. It's only Phi Gams who are desperately growing beards for their coming Gay Nine ties party. UN Grad Honored By TWA Airlines A former University of Ne braska student, Dorothy Hend ricks, who has been hostessing aboard a Trans World Airline Constellation, was among the air line's crew members recently commended by TWA's President, LaMotte T. Cohu, for helping make possible the company's out standing record for winter flight completions. The Constellations, which car ried 117,000 passengers along TWA's transcontinental routes since Nov. 1, 1947, flew a total of 4,337,000 miles. Ag Report, Wed.. 2:30 KOLN. The spread came in the face of operator's proposals for a conference to settle the dis pute over pensions. Mine-worker head, John L. Lewis made no move to accept the offer. The operators made it in accordance . with Saturday's court order issued under the provisions of the Taft-Hartley set DIPLOMACY. Russia and Finland signed their proposed friendship and as sistance treaty in Moscow Tues day. Details of the pact were not released.
