Lynn JJordgren looks on and com ments on the smart spring suit which Miss Lock designed and made for herself in a clothing class project. Fifty-three other girls also participated in the annual style show sponsored by the Home Ec Club. Mr. George Miller Editor of The Daily Nebraskan Sir: Palladian Literary Society, having sent representatives to the two discussion meetings on the National Student Association, believes that this is one of the most important questions to come before the student body of the University of Nebraska this year. Because we are in favor of democratically discussing the questions before the student body, we think it proper to pre sent our view. We discussed the significance of joining NSA at our business meeting last Mon day night and would like to take this means to make known a resolution passed at that meet ing: "Resolved: That the Palladian Literary Society expresses ap proval of the proposition before the student body of the Univer sity of Nebraska to affiliate ircv mediately with the National Stu dent Association. Shirley Cane, President Loraine Hush, Secretary Uni-Vets' Benefit To Collect Clothes The big benefit dance of the year, a "Spring Fling" will be sponsored by the Uni-Vets organ ization at the Union, March 19, in the ballroom. Jean Mover and his orchestra will play for this dance, which is open to all university students for only the price of an article of clothing which can, be sent to the needy in Lurope. In co-operation with the Uni- Vets drive for all types of sturdy clothing, especially ex-GI gar ments, booths will be set up in the City and Ag Unions to re- ceive contributions, in return for free tickets to this dance. Contributions will also be ac cepted at the door on Friday eve ning. The regular dance price of 44c will be charged for those hav ing no clothing to offer. Registration for the Union Bridge Tourney must be made in the Union office by Saturday noon. A Juke-box fling will be held n the Union Ballroom, Saturday. The attention of the sports-minded students, however, will be drawn to the Coliseum where they will remain loval bv cheering for the home team. Since the winter weather in March isn't quite appropriate for the snrinc stvlcs. the coeds are stepping out in winter fashions that will fascinate their escorts for the evening. Spivak Hays. The Turnpike and the music of Charlie Spivak is the idea of a perfect evening to numerous couples this Friday. Tinmates Marianne Srb and Dick Folda will be among those attending. Marianne will look enchanting in her black crepe dress styled with a faille side drape. The tiny faille, stand-up collar is ac centuated by a gold Trifari choker, which Marianne will wear. Also dancing at the Pike will be Marilyn Eidam in a black faille ballerina dress. recking out from below the hemline is an edging of her red and white petticoat. The Chi Omegas will blossom out this Friday for their annual spring formal. Many eyes and especially Tom Callan's, will be on Cherie Vicle, as she dances in her black taffeta strapless formal trimmed in white lace. An old-fashioned touch is added to the gown by a black scarf which Cherie will wear around her shoulders. Tolly Ann Rickly has chosen a chartreuse jersey dross that is highlighted by a wide gold-beaded waistband. And a long black drape. Glen lilinde will be Polly's partner for the evening. Tarty, Tarty. Saturday night dark-haired Ginny Guhin and Stan Nordgren will be among those partying at East llilis.
