But Nebraska holds a high re
spect and a slight , fear of the
passing ability of Quarterback
Bill Church, a native Nebraskan.
The former Fnhbury star has
completed 21 flips for 315 yards
to date.
The Scarlet coaching staff has
been polishing the Huskers' aerial
defense and has been sharpening
an air offense which has been in
ept in the past two tests.
The Husker squad is at near
peak strength with only End Don
Sailors and Quarterback dick
Thompson on the ailing list.
This will be the second loop
contest for both elevens and the

Iowa State. Oklahoma will test
Texas Christian while Kansas en
joys an open date.
At Manhattan Coach Bernie
Masterson's fighting Cornhuskers

game for both clubs. Nebraska
dropped Iowa State 14-7 while
the Wildcats lost to Missouri 47-7.
The University of Missouri Ti

downs when they tangle with the
Iowa State Cyclones at Ames Sat
urday. The tussle will mark the
first meeting of Missouri Mentor
Don Faurot and Iowa State's Abe
Stuber as rival Big Six football
coaches. The two were backfield
teammates at Missouri in 1925.
Coach Bud Wilkinson worked
his Oklahoma Sooners on pass de
fense in preparation for Satur
day's battle with Texas Christian
at Norman. Eddy Davis, first team
Sooner fullback, who suffered a
badly cut nose against Kansas last
week, will be sidelined for the
game. Merle Greathouse will take
over the fullback slot. Wilkinson
named Tackles Homer Paine and
Bill Morris to co-captain the
Oklahomans. Texas Christian is
expected to launch a tricky aerial
attack against the Sooners.
