PAGE 4 THE DAILY NEBRASFCAN Wednesday, October 15, 1947 Faculty Rejects Student Council Amendment Revisions in the student council constitution increasing the size of its judiciary committee were re jected by the faculty senate com mittee on student activities, meet ing Wednesday afternoon in El len Smith hall. The announce ment was made by Dean of Men T. J. Thompson, chairman of the senate committee. The amendment would have in creased the number of students on the judiciary committee from five to seven. It would also have re quired that three juniors and one senior at large be elected to the committee. The constitution as it now stands requires that a chair man elected from senior members of the council, and four council holdover members comprise the committee. Dean Thompson nlsn announced that the faculty committee ap proved the constitution of Ne braska chapter of the United World Federalists as a matter of form.
