Hefty Line
Line Tutor Tony Blazine will
get a chance to see the efforts of
three weeks of intensive practice
with his block busters against one
of the toughest backfields in the
big Nine. Blazine's crew, sport
ing a neat 215-pound average,
boasts a 19-pound per man ad
vantage over the Hoosiers' for
wards who tip the Fairbanks at
an average of 194.
Big Charlie Toogood, carrying
232 pounds on his gagantuan
frame tops the Husker beefers.
End Carl Samuelson, All-Big Six
tackle last year and Center Tom
Novak, all-conference fullback
selection in 1946 will bolster a
forward wall with Game Captain
Gene Wilkins, only regular who
started the '46 Hoosier battle in
this year's starting contingent,
Big Johnny Sedlacek, converted
from tackle to guard and Jack
Pesek.
Backfield Edge
Indiana's backs, averaging 197,
make up for some weight de

per man more than the Husker's
starting backfield combination.
The Hoosiers are slated to ar
rive in Lincoln Friday morning
and will go through a light work
out behind closed gates at Me
