THE DAILY NEBRASKAN Thursday, February 13. Paae &' function of the library, down to Wanted -Student To Star In Uni Technicolor Film BY JOAN DELAMTRE. How would you like to be a movie star? Sounds impossible doesn't it, but actually it may happen, for this spring a techni color movie of the Donald L. Love Memorial Library will be made on the university campus. According to Mr. Frank A. Lundy, director of the university libraries, the money needed for the production, $1,500, was ob tained by the University Founda tion from the nationally famed Cooper Foundation. The film will be made to acquaint the students and faculty with the resources, of the library, and it will be the best medium available to introduce new stu dents to this unique building. Other sources of information on this type of library cannot be ob tained for there are only two others like it, and previous movies or slides have not been made. Thus, Nebraska will be pioneering In this field of visual education. The actual filming will be done by a university technical group headed by Mr. John Mercer, technical adviser for the board of visual education. The sound tracks will not be made here, but by the Cal vin company of Kansas City, Mo. A student will be shown, in this movie, from the time he receives his assignment in class, all through his use of the library, the the time he returns the book. After the movie is completed, which wil probably be sometime next fall, it will be shown to all incoming students. It will also be circulated to theaters through out the state by the etxension di vision, in order to acquaint those outstate with the university and its facilities. It will reach many prospective university students, who are not accustomed to a li brary which contains nearly half a million books. The movie is expected to be a great help to the educational and publicity facilities of the univer sity. Pastor Talks On 'Marriage' Today Vespers today will feature Dr. Arthur MiUer speaking on "Christian Marriages." Dr. Miller is the pastor at the First Presby. terian Church. ' Featured music will be a vocal solo by Willistine Clark and a violin solo by Alice Saunders. The .Vesper program will be held in room 315 of the Union at 5 p. m. Bilbo, N.
