BY JERRY JACUPKE.
Awfully glad to hear that Pat
enjoyed the news about the
Taus, and since a note of sar
casm was detected, the Taus will
be practically neglected in this
column.
Ralph "the corn crib" King
made the statement the other
night that the only reason he
works in the crib and spends his
free time on 14th street is to
watch all the women go by. He
claims this is the closest he can
ever get to any female with the
shortage the way it is.
The end of the Mortar Board
Ball won't be the end of Friday's
festivities for Norm Clemens and
Johnny Lehman, Rosa Wether
field and Dwight Houseman,
Mary Kuppinger and Bill Foshier
and Ardith Smith and Knox Kup
pinger who will travel to Omaha
for the weekend as soon as the
dance is over.
Complications.
Complications have set in but
definitely, or at least that's the
way Dick (Bullett) Thompson
feels lately. Dick has been seen so
much with Wy Walker that it
might be classed as steady. What
happens when Les Metheny comes
home Christmas? We'll help Dick
Wy is flying west for the va
cation. You can breathe again,
my boy.
Oh. for shame! For the second
time I have seen a DG smoking
a cigar. Shorty McLaren and Nell
Scott can be quoted as saying,
"Heck, we do it all the time. In
hale, too."
The three to one ratio is caus
ing a lot of competition between
Tom Lowrie and Ramey Beachley
for the hand of Janie Fry. How
ever, the word from 400 Univer
sity Terrace is that Janie's main
interest is not one and two but
number three of the ratio. Play
them all Jane, a lot of gals are
using that policy.
Sad Situation.
One of the saddest situations on
campus is the fate of John Blumer.
John has had the props knocked
out from under him twice in the I
last three mnnths First he went I
overboard , or. Meredith Bowhay
and BarbaVa Breed (in that order)
but the fair gals drifted away.
Now his latest is Marg Farrel. We
wonder if this affair will end up
as the others seem to have. Man,
best you change your style!
We wonder if Paula Jo.es has
heard about the big play Carmen
Devore made for her pinmate on
their Thanksgiving trip to west
ern Nebraska. The facts are few,
but the possibilities are many. A
word to the wise should be suffici
ent. Candy Passing.
A candy passing Tuesday night
at the AOPi house was that of
Irene Rahmer and Kim Magee
who made it complete with ;
diamond.
More dates for Motar Boat
(the girls are really eager, i
seems) are Pat Meyer and George
Fagerburg, Jo Moss and Chut!;
Stewart, Phyl Kokjer and Harold
Smith, and Alice Christiansen
and Johnny Call.
Saturday night Darlene Poth
sst and Dick Ayote and Dode
Sundell and Bob Busby will be
together at the Sig Ep party.
In Omaha, also Saturday,
Blackie Bfanchard and Kenny
Younger will attend the Phi
Rho partv, and the ATO's will
gather at Al Buwh's for a big
blowout.
