GAMES THIS WEEK.
Iowa State at Nebraska.
Kansas at Kansas State.
Missouri at Oklahoma.
RESULTS I A ST WEEK.
Kansas 10, Oklahoma 13.
Iowa State 7, Drake 7.
Missouri 21, Colorado 0.
San Francisco 38, Kansas State 6.
Football fans at four Big Six
schools went into anxious huddles
Sunday afternoon after the results
of Saturday's action were known.
The Kansas victory over Okla
homa, one of the top upsets of the
day . and the biggest surprise in
the Midlands this fall, left the
door to the conference throne
room wide open and four schools
have a chance to share in the first
place spoils.
Paul Turner, Jayhawk sub
stitute, came thru with a field
goal with a minute and 30 sec
onds left in the game to give the
determined Kansas team the vic
tory it deserved over the supposedly-invincible
Sooners.
By virtue of the Oklahoma de
feat Missouri moves into first
place in the race with three vic
tories and no losses, while Kan
sas, Oklahoma and the Huskers
are tied for second with two wins
and one defeat. Only Iowa State
and Kansas State are definitely
removed from title consideration.
Several Possibilities.
From the Nebraska standpoint
the situation has a number of
possibilities. Oklahoma and Mis
souri tangle this week at Norman
in a game which will put the
Tigers one step nearer the crown
or drop them back with the rest
of the pack.
Nebraska has a game with Iowa
State and then an all-important
meeting: with Oklahoma on the
16th. By that time the Sooners
will either be definitely out of the
race or will be one of four teams

2 Mile Meet
The Big Six two mile cham
pionship meet is scheduled for
Saturday at Norman, Okl. The
race will be run during halftime
of the all-important Oklahoma
Missouri football game as an
added attraction for the home
coming crowd.
On the basis of season per
formances, Coach Tom Botts'
Missouri Tigers have been in
stalled as pre-meet favorites,
altho stiff opposition can be ex
pected from Nebraska, Okla
homa, and Kansas State.
The Tiger two milers are un
defeated in dual competition this
year, and have four men who un
der 10:11 for the eight lap grind.
Bill Chronister, Dick Killough,
Bill Slagle and Bob Bosworth are
the men who will carry Missouri's
championship hopes.
Individual Championship.
The title of individual cham
pion will probably go either to
Nebraska's Bobby Ginn, former
National Intercollegiate mile
champion who has a 9:59:1 mark
in the two mile race against Mis
souri, or Harold Moore, the Uni
versity of Kansas ace. Moore de
feated Ginn earlier this season in
a dual meet, but the Husker run
ner will probably be considered
as the man to beat Saturday.

hay that Crossbow down!
We realize it's still pretty difficult to walk into your
Arrow dealer and find a stack of Arrow Gordon
Oxfords or Arrow Doublers . . . but they will be
back soon.
Our Arrow dealers are doing their level best in a
tough situation. So don't hunt them up with your
crossbow or Luger.
Keep dropping in on your favorite Arrow dealer
and the first thing you know he will have just the
shirt you want!

When you Mop by and ask us for Arrow Shirts . . .
we hate havin to say "No" so frequently.
Hut we don't have a nearly large enough supply of
alwajs popular Arrows in stock. It's far below your
demand ... so that nasty negative often has to come
out, even if it chokes us to say it.
And even when we do have Arrows, we may not have
your correct size. (There's no point in buying a larger
Arrow, expecting the laundry to cut 'c.n down to size.
Arrow Shirts just don't shrink even 1 because they're
Siinforied labeled.)
But keep on trying Arrows are worth waiting for.
