And so another week-end is here ,and we all wonder whether it is going to rain forever, snow next or if there will ever be such a thing as another picnic. The Sigma Chis didn't let the weather problem bother them Saturday night, however, as their house party was quite a success. A new and interesting addition to the many couples attending, were Marv Bowhay and Shirley Eskilsen who also plan to make the trip to K. U. together. Gus Douvas and Bob Van Sant have proudly announced that they had dates. Also making the most of the weather situation Saturday night were the Sig Eps whose "outing" provided fun for Sue "Golden and Jan Thorson who were accompanied by Johnny Adams and Ariley El ward, while Bev Sutton and Al Mavis, El lie Assmussen and Bud March made an excursion to Omaha. Iowa. Gone to Iowa U. are Bea Smith, Anne Jennings, and Sue Ann Cochran, who will undoubtedly spend the week-end with Joe Partington. A little early, but partaking in the migration to K. U. will be Lee Lovan and Susie Storz and Dick Nash and Coll Quigley. Quickest come-back from a fast brush-title for the week goes to John Dale, larger member of the BMOC tribe. John was seen being the livliest member of the life of the party's group at the Sig Chi turnout on Saturday night. Kosmet's prexy recovered from Marilyn Duffack's bounce in fine fashion. The A. G. R. house party Fri day was indeed an event, and first prize for unusual couples goes to Phil Ross who was es corted by her ex-pinmate. Gene Simm. Marge Reynolds. Harold Kopf, Barb Mohler and Paul Gil lespie report that it was a fine deal. And.lhe.6ame night found East Hills packed to the doors with such notable dancing part ners as Hank Anderson with Marge Benson, Royce Valentine and Bill Morehouse (a pretty good deal), and Zoe Desch with Don Berquist. Air Lanes. . Airplane rides are fun that is if you don't suffer from an acute case of air sickness according to Jo. Bridenbaugh who served as co-pilot to Gorden Luhr. Music lovers made a good turn out at the concert of Patrice Munsel. Jean Swengle and Cap Thiesen, a couple seen about to gether of late atttended while Joan Kelly and Rus Tutor sat not too far behind them. The star was presented with a dozen and a half roses by S. A. I., according to M. A. Peterson, prexy. Others seen Saturday night were Ken- Fletcher and Jan Staley who have become quite a steady couple since a few weeks before school began. Stan Perry and Joe Loisel were with Pat Felger and Betty Wilson respec tively, while brother Bill Lay man escorted Marge Layman. Bob Nickerson was eagerly awaiting his date with Joe Guen zel this week-end . . . hope every thing went well, Nick. Vets Council Entertains Heads Of Fraternities The executive council of the Veterans' Organization enter tained the presidents and repre &entatives of the social fraterni ties cf the university in the Lan caster room of the Hotel Corn- husker Thursday night. Between courses of a five course turkey dinner, Don Baker, master of ceremonies and vice president of the Veterans' Organ ization, introduced as speakers Don Kimmel, president; Dr. R. C. Bedell, advisor, and Carl Boo ton, educational chairman, who out lined the purpose and ideals of the vets' organization for the in formation of those present.
