Spring has different effects on
everyone . . . and then there is
the effect Joan Vingers has on
Don .Davis. Navy boys were
awakened the other nieht hv Mr
Davis literally beating his head
and cooing, "Joanie, oh, Joanie."
Giving a new angle to candy
passing. Gene Merchant and Ma
rolyn Hartsook treated the Delta
Gamma's to the "sweets" Monday
night, only to have the male party
burst out with measles five min
utes later . . . Oh, well, the D. G.'s
didn't want to go out of the house
these last three weeks anyway.
Also giving out with candy and
cigars and all that goes with them,
, were Jan Swartzer and Duel An
derson when the Phi Delt's and
Pi Phi's got together to celebrate
their pinnine.
Taking just a wee bit more ad
vantage of spring are Joanne
Steinbeck and Bill Heinzelman
who have set the wedding date
ior May luth.
Tri Delt's will be runninff mm
petition with Glenn Miller Friday
mgnt wnen they have their spring
formal at the Cornhusker. . . Such
people planning to don their fnr
mal clothes are Rose Marie Grow
and Bob Schleiger, Mary Ann
Movie and Chuck Carothers. Roh-
bie Sprow and Howard Bradley,
ana jane MCArthur with Johnny
McDermott . . . Jane McArthur
is the gal with troubles. What
is a girl to do when a fellow
like Dick Crahian comes home
from overseas and stays at your
house while you go out with an
other? Also running competition will
be the Kappa's and Phi Psi'swith
both their formals scheduled for
Saturday night . . . Beaming faces
at the Kappa party will be Mimi
Ann Johnson with Marion Mitch
ell, Mary Dunne! with Willy Hen
derson, and steadies-of-one-week,
Shirley Anderson and Hermie
Hanson .
