The Huskers won the opening tilt on Friday by a 10 to 0 count. Scheef Opens for U. N. Wally Scheef, Gretna hurler started on the mound for the Ne braska team, but before the game ended Ooach Frank Smagacz had sent five pitchers to the mound The Buffs gathered eight hits off the combined offerings of Scheef, Dick Lebbs, Johnny Olson, Floyd stork and Harold Jacob. Golf Hopefuls To Play Final Round Today Varsity golf coach Bud William son has announced the pairings for the last round of qualifying play which will produce the Ne braska golf team for coming in tercollegiate competition. The eighteen hole round will be played this morning beginning prompt ly at 10 at the Hillcrest Country Club on East O Street. Five threesomes are listed for today's play, and the eight low men will compose the varsity squad for the Huskers' first match on April 12 against Kansas Uni versity at Lawrence. . .
