Nubbins Lose
To Concordia
By 42-28 Score
Nebraska's B team went down
to a 42-28 defeat at the hands
of a sharpshooting Concordia cal-
lege five Monday night, in a pre
lim to the Nebraska-Oklahoma
game.
The two quints matched bas
kets during the first ten minutes
of the half with the visitors sport
ing an 8-7 advantage, but the alert,
smooth-passing Concordia squad
widened the margin to 22-13 at
the half. Drummer counted 15
points to take scoring honors for
the evening.
The Nubbins worked the count
to 28-23 midway in the second
half, but quick Concordia baskets
nullified the Husker threat.
Bull scored 10 points on short
set shots to lead the Husker scor
ing parade.
Husker Grapplers
Lose Two Tilts
With Iowa Rivals
The Cornhusker wrestling team
suffered defeat at the hands of
Iowa Teachers College Saturday,
25-5 and by the University of
Iowa Monday, by a score of 19-9.
Both matches were held in Iowa
territory.

Harold Boker, a new heavyweight

the Husker's only win of the
meet. At the University of Iowa,
Boker decisioned his man 4-0.
Newt Copple suffered his first
defeat of the season at the Iowa
Teachers match, being outpointed
by his opponent. He made a
comeback in the match with the
University of Iowa, winning by
a decision of 8-1.
The third win over the Univer
sity of Iowa was by Mickey Kelly.
This UN 121 pounder won by a
close 10-9 decision over John
Nyberg, a former member of the
Omaha Central wrestling team.
Basketball practices are of ma
jor importance on the W.A.A. cal
endar for the coming week. The
second round of required practices
begins Wednesday, Feb. 13, with
Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Alpha
Theta, and International House;
Thursday, Sigma Delta Tau,
Kappa Kappa Gamma, Alpha Phi,
and Delta Gamma; Friday,
Howard, Wilson, Carl, and Rosa
Bouton Halls, and Alpha Omicron
Pi; Monday, Alpha Chi, Chi
Omega, and Alpha Xi Delta; and
Tuesday, Gamma Phi Beta, Tri
Delts, Barbs, and the Dorm. Ex
tra practices may be arranged
by special permission from the
W.A.A. office for Saturday afternoon.
Bowling Club Meets.
According to Phyl Hoke, a
Bowling Club meeting will be
held at the Lincoln Bowling
Alley Thursday, at 5 o'clock. This
is a special meeting for the new
members.
Swimming Club, meeting reg
ularly Thursday evening at 7:15
will be open to any coed wish
ing to practice for the coming
