Wednesday, BecemEer 19, 1945 tUNCagers Face Illini Thursday Nebraska's travel weary basket ball squad faces the powerful Illinois squad Thursday night at the coliseum, as the Huskers return to the home floor after a three game road trip. Coach Doug Mills brings a well balanced quintet to Lincoln, and the Illini should give Pop Klein's charges an interesting evening. Tipoff time for the game is 8.00. Nebraska cagers suffered a 61 to 35 defeat at the hands of the veteran Iowa Hawkeyes Monday night at Iowa City, as the Huskers made their third stop on a week end road trip. Forward Joe Brown paced the Scarlet scorers with 13 points, and Dick Ives and Murray Weir blazed the way for Iowa point makers, with 17 and 18 points respectively. The Huskers matched the Iowa scoring strength for the first ten minutes, but the Hawkeyes pulled steadily away, and led 32 to 18 at the half Box score: Iowa Ivees Wler f Mason f Danner f C.
