Another week end, and another
batch of football games; just the
combination for a sports writer's
headache.
Nebraska hopes for a victory in
the Indiana clash seem to rest
upon the stout passing of Mack
f Robinson, who has furnished just
about all the offensive spark in
the Huskers have shown in their
first two games. Nebraska should
show a strong first half game
against the Hoosiers, but how far
they will go in the second half
hour is anyone's guess.
Our opinion is that the Hoosiers
will meet stiffer competition than
they count on, with the final
score being in the neighborhood of
a three touchdown victory for In
diana. Iowa Slate and Missouri, Big
Six foes, provide Parent's Day
entertainment at Ames this Sat
urday, with the strong Missouri
opposed by an equally sturdy Cy
clone forward wall. Bill Dellas

Oklahoma goes south for a game

non-conference play, meeting
Marquette at Milwaukee, with the
Hilltoppers seeming to have the i
edge over the toothless Wildcats.

tramural golf tournament will be
held this week end, Saturday and
Sunday, on the Pioneer course,
with anyone allowed to enter.
All organized groups may enter
as many men as they wish, with
the four lowest scores counting in
team scores.

deadline for reporting second
round play Wednesday, October

Finals in the women's soccer
baseball tournament will be
played Wednesday night in the
field back of the Coliseum. Teams
who play will be notified by the
schedule posted in Grant Me
morial Team lists for the women's
Nebraska ball tournament must
be turned in to the WAA office
by October 16. Practices for the
game will begin on October 22
and the tournament opens October
29.
Lutheran Chapel service will be
held at 10:45 a. m. Sunday in
room 315 of the Union. Rev. H.
Erck, university Lutheran pastor,
will conduct services and will
speak on the topic "Observations
of the Times." Miss June Gast
will accompany hymns.
Radar, the coined name for
"radio detection and ranging," is
a technique for detecting objects
by means of radio wave echoes.
