If the miniature white dog trotting around on the heels of Harold Harshaw looks like a joke to you, congratulate yourself on your intuition. Chi O is, indeed, the living climax of a long standing joke. Long before Chi O and his twin brother, Chi, were "enrolled" in the university, Shirley Crosby and Marth Atkinson, Chi Omegas, were sending "get well quick" gifts to Harold Harshaw, Sigma Nu, who was ill. Candy, roses, cards and books were daily sent across the street to cheer Harold. After a long convalescence, Har old received his last token from the two solicitous Chi O's. He appropriately named the pup' Chi O, and the girls named their pup Chi. Chi O learned his way around campus quickly and is now a constant visitor at the Crib, the Uni drug, and the Nook. Nix and Nays of Femivays Before it's too late!!! Here are a few helpful hints on how to soothe that boy into submission on your "leap year" date. DO'S 1. Call for him at least 20 min utes late. No excuse needed!! It seems to always bring results when he pulls it on his dates. 2. Have a full tank of gas, plans for the entire evening, and for goodness sakes, follow them thru. In other words, be the boss. 3. Wince, groan, and wring your hands when you view the check, and count your money carefully, letting him see how much of what you have is being spent. 4. At the door, lean forward suggestively, but back away at the last moment. (They always do, why can't we?") DONTS 1. Don't be too eager. This is your opportunity to show the joys of aloofness. 2. Don't show him oft Take him to some secluded place where he won't be seen. Other girls have their hooks out, but definitely. 3. Eye him approvingly, but don't utter a thing about how nice he looks. 4. Talk about the coming events with enthusiasm, but under no circumstances ask him for a def inite date ahead of time. P. S. If he comes back for more, you can be sure he's yours!!! Prof. L.
