For the first time in Oklahoma
grid history, the University of
Oklahoma annexed their second
consecutive Big Six football
championship taking the last con
ference tile from Nebraska by a
31-12 count. No other Sooner
eleven was even able to duplicate
a conference title.
The Sooner-Husker tilt was the
last in the conference as well as
ringing the curtain down on mid
west grid play.
Only black spot on the Okla
homa record was a 21-21 tie with
the Missouri Tigers a few weeks
ago.
Iowa State was second rank

through with a tie with Missouri,

Sue Fishwood, with an average
of 91 63, heads the list of sopho
more ag college coeds recognized
this year by Omicron Nu, na
tional honorary home ec group.
The name of the girl with the
highest average is placed on a
plaque which hangs in the home
ec social room. All the girls have
an average of above 84.
The ten named are Sue Fish-
wood, Jo Ann Grimes, Marolyn
Hartsook, Eleanor Johnson, Ruth
Ann Medaris, Mary Helen Mitch
ell, Elaine Osterman, Joanne
Rapp, Cozette Wieland and Helen

Only three contests are scheduled
on the ping-pong sheet and but
one hand ball matcn.
Of the scheduled first round
matches, several houses failed to
play and many did not turn in re
sults.
Those teams who lost their
first round matches and turned in
results will be given entrance
points towards the Jack Best
