Spring Colors
A rainbow of vivid colors pre
dominated in the Coed Counselor
annual spring fashion show Wed
nesday night at Hovland-Swanson.
In the first half of the review,
entitled "Brief, Bare, and Beau
tiful," tailored slack suits, play
suits, and bathing suits held the
spotlight. A variety of occasion
dresses and suits made up the sec
ond half, and the climax of the
show was the presentation of the
June bride and her attendant.
In charge of arrangements were
Mary Bonebright and Jean Guen
zel. Models were Lois Kunselman,
Loomis hall; Katherine Eberly,
Rosa Bouton hall; Phyllis Kenne,
Alpha Omicron Pi; Marcia Wood

Two UN Delegates Annul
Regional YW Conference
Anne Wellensiek and Barbara
Townsend are in Chicago this
week as delegates from the uni
versity YWCA to the central re
gion conference,, of the national
YWCA. The conference is being
held at the Hotel Sherman in
Chicago.
With more-than 200 students
working on committees, plans for
the ag campus open house sched
uled for April 29 are nearing com
pletion. Blanche Reid and Dave
Sanders, co-directors of the pro
gram announced today that corn
mittee lists have been completed
and chairmen appointed for all
phases of the event.

Ha mm are co-chairmen of the
committee on exhibits, Gladys
Bowman will direct the publicity,
Monica A.nn Alberty is head of
the hospitality group, Mary Jo
Kobes is in charge of foods and
Kay Thommasen and Allen Klmg
man are in charge of the evening
program.

ris head the committee to plan the
presentation of the Goddess of Ag
riculture and Julia Crom is mak
ing the arrangements for the com
munity sing.

per; campus Cavitations, Jan Engle
and Catherine Curley; newspapers
and radio, Betty Huston; commu
nity invitations, Marilyn Adler and
Mcrgaret Alma, and speaking
tours, Gwen Row.
Dorothy Wegener is working on
the programs for the hospitality
committee, Ruth Heim is in charge
of the information committee, and
Harriet Freeman is chairman of
the guides. Virginia Young and
Lillian Snyder are preparing the
campus maps and posters.
Midge Holtzscherer and Bar
bara Rogers are assistants to the
foods chairman.

Chairmen of the five main com
mittees will meet at five this aft
ernoon in ag hall to present prog
ress reports.
The open house is the first of
its kind ever to be held on the ag
campus and is being sponsored by
all of the ag organizations. The
afternoon program will include
open house in all of the campus

Variety Show
Stars Movie,
'Kitty Foyle'
"Kitty Foyle," starring Ginger
Rogers and Dennis Morgan, will
headline the weekly variety show
at the Union this Sunday at 3
p. m. "Information Please" and a
cartoon are included on the sama
program.
For her performance in "Kitty
Foyle," the movie production of
Christopher Morley's novel of th
same name, Ginger Rogers won
the Academy Award several years
ago. She played the part of an
average American woman with a
white collar job before the war.
Dennis Morgan, as her boss,
adds the romantic angle to the
story.
