The Huskers, down 13-19 at the half, had climbed to a 30-26 mar gin with nine minutes left, but here the Sooners took command. With big Al Kirlin hitting three of his favorite one handed push siif ts, Nebraska had built an 11-8 lend midway in the first half, only to see quick baskets by Paine, Vaughn, and Bulow help the Snrners to their 19-13 halftime n iugin. J-JUL First three games of the bas ketball tournament have been played, with the Barbs, the D.G.'s and Tri-Delts the victors. Wednesday night the Barbs slaughtered the D.G.'s second team by a score of 43 to 0. Thurs day the D.G.'s and Alpha Phi's played a little better game, with the outcome 33 to 4 for the D.G.'s. Dear Mr. Anderson: I have road your numerous articles in the column ' Second Guessing" with interest and pleasure, and wish to thank you for the interest and enthusiasm which you have shown in the Army basketball season. Your repeated request for an all-star game against tho Lincoln Air Field liaiders is an excellent suggestion and one which is being seriously considered by the proper authorities. I would like to point out, however, that there are several points to be considered before such a game could be played. An all star game would seriously slow down our Army league sched ule. A suitable date Mould have to be arranged and the coli seum would have to be available. You may be assured that every effort is beinsr made 1 speedily arrange this game, which should provide a brand of basketball of interest to civilian and military students as well as the sporls enthusiasts of Lincoln.
