Scarlet Leave For Big Six Indoor Meet A seven man track squad leaves for Kansas City at 4:15 this after noon to carry Nebraska colors in the annual Big: Six indoor track championships there tomorrow. With Buzz Hollins, shotput win ner in last Saturday's triangular meet with K. U. and Kansas State, slated to remain in Lincoln to per form with the UN cage squad against Oklahoma Saturday night, Husker prospects take a decided tumble. The seven man Husker squad, with Hollins lost, will stand little chance in the indoor car nical, according to Coach Ed Weir. Kratz Will Carry Load. "There's really no way to dope the meet," said Weir before the squad's Thursday afternoon work out. "Iowa State and Oklahoma are both unknown quantities and may be missing the services of some of their naval trainees who are on furlough this week. One thing is certain, tho,' 'added Ed. "Our strength is too limited for us to expect to win Saturday." Named to make the trip are Ed Smith, Bob Smith, Dean Kratz, Frank Mech, Norval Barker, Dick Miller and Dick Petty. Kratz, double winner in the 440 and the 880 in last Saturday's meet, is expected to carry the burden of Husker scoring at Kansas City. Husker Court Squad Meets Sooners Here Nebraska's Huskers tangle with the Sooners of Oklahoma at the coliseum tomorrow night at 8 in their last home appearance of the season. The Huskers will be seeking their second conference win, while Bruce Drake's Oklahomans need a win over the Scarlet to stay in the Big Six title chase. Nebraska gave the Sooners a real scare be fore bowing at Norman early last month, and Coach Ad Lewandow ski feels that his charges will offer O.U. another tough battle to morrow. With Harry Johnston lost to the armed forces, Lewandowski will be able to field only a nine man squad. After a season's campaign ing, only men left on the squad are Al Artman, Tom Dworak.
