Mail Clippings Pat Chamberhn, Censor Students Plan For Post War Era At a recent debute convention in the midwest some post war resolutions were adopted by a group of 75 students. This is a eoinniendiiMe aeeoiiiplisliiiient, one which shows that col lege students, who will be the leaders tomorrow, are thinking of that tomorrow and policies we shall have to adopt to make it glorious. f Other student groups should think about post war plan ning ; they should set forth ideals. But with this they should also be prepared to compromise with other persons wanting the same end, but favoring a different method to attain it. In a democracy everyone has a right to his own opinion. This Inevitably results in a divergence of ideas, which, if we look on them with tolerance, will only go to make our government stronger and serve to eliminate its weaknesses to a great degree. The resolution passed by the intercollegiate conference on war problems is as follows: Kesolvcd that, in order to guarantee the security of na tions, upon defeat of the axis we recommend (1) that, as a first form of international cooperation, a military and economic alliance including Russia, China, Great Britain, and the United States be established ; (2) that next the League of Nations be re-constituted; and that (4) these forms of international organization shall have jurisdiction over international problems and shall have the power to enforce their decisions. But this was only the beginning, as con versation with friends disclosed. Nancy, they said, has an extremely droll sense of humor, and panics everyone else, keeping a perfectly straight face. Some of her fellow Mortar Hoards aren't sure whether she intends to be funny or not especially since she is notori ously slow and innocent at catching on to jokes. She is very unemotional, they say, and she gets scared in high places. She wants a one-story house in California says even sec ond floors bother her. Men apparently do not bother her. Seems she goes with one fellow only until they get everything "talked out."' and then she drifts along to another one. Nice work if you e get it, Nancy.
